🏢 Built Right Here — Bellevue & Downtown Programs
Is Bellevue Ready for Main Street America?
Heritage Ohio is Ohio's official Main Street America coordinator — a national program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation with 1,200+ designated communities. Designation brings national recognition, technical assistance, grant access, and a proven four-point framework: Organization, Design, Promotion, and Economic Vitality.
Bellevue is not currently a designated Main Street community — but it qualifies. The DORA is running. Downtown renovation is happening. Bona Fide Bellevue is organizing. The next step is applying for Heritage Ohio's Aspiring Community designation.
Organization
Building community consensus and a structure to lead revitalization
Design
Enhancing the physical appearance of historic downtown buildings
Promotion
Creating a positive image through events, retail, and marketing
Economic Vitality
